Juliana, Anselimo and Stephen To expand the children's knowledge of other peoples and their way of life, we have adopted some children through Plan International UK - Juliana, Anselimo, and Stephen from Kenya, and, recently, Tesla from Honduras. The Kenyan families live in similar homes with mud brick walls, earthen floor and thatched roofs. They use kerosene lamps for lighting, cook on firewood and get their water from a well two kilometres away. Home furnishings consist of three chairs, a table and two beds. They are subsistence farmers. Any money that we can raise helps the communities of these children. Our contributions help to bring clean water into the area and improve and expand education and medical care for children and adults. Plan's website has more details on their work in Kenya and Honduras. |
